  • Forex News Indicator Extensions

The Platform contains a version of the Forex News Indicator, allowing important economic data to be plotted directly to the chart area. The task is to extend these capabilities up to par with the ones provided by the "FFCal" indicator found here: External Forum Link

  • MetaTrader4 Expert/Indicator conversion utility

The goal is to allow automated running of MT4 epxerts and indicators on the Open Forex Platform. MT4 uses the "C" based MQL language.

  • OANDA broker support
  • Windows Vista Testing

The platform has not been tested extensively under Windows Vista and some small changes and modifications may need to be done in order to have it running in this OS

  • Main Tab Control to support Drag and Drop of tabs

Allow the reordering of tabs in the Main Application Tab control.

  • Custom Periodic Indicator

Developing a custom chart indicator that displays a separator based on a configurable time frame (for ex. every 4 hours etc.)

  • Interactive Brokers API Integration

Integrating with the IB API to allow using IB providing brokers

* FIX Protocol Integration Trough the usage of QuickFix Engine

  • Parsing the Bloomberg.com news to provide a news feed

Ruby is extremely flexible interpreted new language. It is very suitable for building things on the run time and testing them in real time. Integrating Ruby program ability in the Platform will open many new possibilities for very high speed trading strategies and module developments.

  • Mono Migration

Migrate a version of the platform over to Mono to support non Windows OSes

  • TCP Communication Functionality Port

Port the WCF layer of TCP/IP communication functionality used in the Arbiter module over to using an open source TCP/IP messaging framework - Code Project Article
